Introducing optical film coating materials to fill a gap in China
You never know how beautiful the scenery at the end of the road is if you can't walk, so after returning to my home country, I plan to start my own business. "One day in 2012, Yuan Huiya climbed a small island in Australia. She climbed up an inconspicuous hill, surrounded by endless and boring shrubbery. Until she reached the top of the mountain, everything was different. Yuan Huiya said, "I never thought that there could be such a stunning scenery on such an ordinary mountain, with the entire island visible at a glance.
Yuan Huiya believes that life is like climbing mountains, full of challenges, and only by climbing to the top can one see the most beautiful scenery.
After graduating with a PhD in 2004, Yuan Huiya worked at Huntsman Advanced Materials (Switzerland) Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Huntsman"), the world's largest chemical company that manufactures specialty materials products.
In just eight years, she grew from a rookie in the workplace to a global R&D manager and Asia Pacific R&D director.
During her time at Huntsman, Yuan Huiya led and participated in research on multiple projects, and successfully established the Asia Pacific R&D headquarters in China. After serving as the Global R&D Manager and Asia Pacific R&D Director, she led the R&D team to develop 43 new products, achieving a cumulative sales revenue of over 8 billion US dollars.
From 2006 to 2013, Yuan Huiya worked successively in Switzerland and Germany. Under her leadership, Huntsman accelerated the technology transfer from Switzerland and Germany to Eastern Europe and Asia, established a research and development team in Southeast Asia, and accumulated rich practical experience in cross-border cooperation and management. During her time at Huntsman, Yuan Huiya obtained qualifications in innovation management (collaborative innovation, process innovation, operational innovation, and research and development management), risk management, and project management.
At that time, I was at ease with this job and in a comfortable state. However, in this state, Yuan Huiya began to think, "Am I just living in the foreseeable future like this? When thinking and planning for my future life, I must choose something that I love and that changes the development of society and people's lives, so that even if I encounter difficulties, it is not easy to back down.
Due to her unwillingness to live a predictable future life, Yuan Huiya gave up her high paying career and decided to return to China to start her own business.
In 2013, Yuan Huiya, along with her colleague Wang Ruitao, who was also a senior executive at Huntsman, and her good friend Wang Xiaoying, who was an associate professor at Jinan University, formed a team to jointly establish Guangzhou Shenwei New Material Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Shenwei Technology"), with Yuan Huiya serving as the chairman. Due to serving as a director of the China Radiation Curing Association since 2011, Yuan Huiya has accumulated rich experience in molecular design, preparation processes, and industrialization of UV functional materials. Therefore, she is mainly responsible for technical guidance, application promotion, and market sales of enterprise research and development projects.
Yuan Huiya said, "I chose UV functional materials as the research and development base. I have been studying it from reading to working. Secondly, UV cured polymer materials are a new type of material worth paying attention to.
UV curing technology, also known as ultraviolet curing technology, has incomparable advantages over traditional curing technology such as no inert solvent volatilization, short curing time, and low-temperature curing. It is known as the new generation of green technology and has been widely used in many fields such as coatings, inks, adhesives, printing boards, electronics industry, microfabrication, and rapid prototyping.
Under the leadership of Yuan Huiya, Shenwei Technology aims to fill the gap in domestic optical film coating materials, break the technological blockade and monopoly of foreign enterprises, and promote the high-quality and high-end development of domestic optical films. It is committed to the development of functional modified materials for optical thin films, successfully breaking through the key technologies and processes for synthesizing UV functional materials for optical thin films, and accumulating rich experience in molecular design, preparation processes, and industrialization of UV functional materials.
Shenwei Technology adheres to the concept of "adding value to customers and reflecting our own value", and serves customers with professional product research and development, precise product design of products, processes, and equipment, and integrated solutions.
Before the establishment of our company, there were no Chinese companies in the field of functional coatings for film materials, mainly supplied by Japan, South Korea, and the United States, which can be said to be monopolized by them, "said Yuan Huiya.
At present, Shenwei Technology has researched and produced optical film energy coating materials with independent intellectual property rights in China. Their performance has reached or even exceeded the level of similar products from foreign enterprises, and their prices are also more advantageous. The company has taken a great step forward along its development strategy goals.
The path of entrepreneurship has never been simple. Rooted in Huangpu, Huangpu's superior business environment provides warm motivation for the company. Yuan Huiya and her team have developed many innovative polymer application film materials, which are widely used in mobile phones, car films, window films, decorative bags, and other applications.
Nowadays, Shenwei Technology, which has been established for 8 years, has taken the top spot in the domestic coating market in the subdivision field of film material UV coating, successfully breaking the monopoly of Japan, South Korea and the United States.
With the support of various policies in Huangpu District and Guangzhou Development Zone, Shenwei Technology currently holds 7 national intellectual property recognition patents, 3 software copyrights, and 1 technology achievement recognition. Applied for 18 invention patents, authorized 10 invention patents, and 3 software copyrights. Shenwei Technology sets sail from Huangpu and upgrades step by step.
Black technology solves the problem of goggles fogging up and affecting anti epidemic work
Black technology is an unimaginably powerful technology. In terms of the current state of technological development, conceptually speaking, artificial intelligence, holographic projection, AR technology, foldable screens, nanotechnology, etc. can all be considered black technologies.

During the epidemic, Yuan Huiya and her R&D team, with the idea of contributing their modest efforts to the frontline medical staff, accelerated the development of anti fog coatings to achieve performance breakthroughs.
Finally, with the joint efforts of Shenwei Technology, a new anti fog film coating SwAFR-1 has been developed for use in goggles. The anti fog film is applied to goggles and has a great effect, with performance reaching the international leading level, solving the import and cost problems of related materials during the epidemic.
The anti fog device solves the problem of goggles obstructing the view of medical staff due to changes in indoor temperature and the user's own breathing, achieving timely and comprehensive coverage of the goggles lens to release heat and dissipate the fog, making it easier to disassemble and install the anti fog device, increasing the practicality of the entire device, and allowing medical staff to work without having to clean the goggles themselves, improving the comfort and efficiency of use.
Goggles are essential protective equipment for frontline medical personnel, protecting them from spitting and splashing, which can lead to infection. Shenwei Technology's anti fog film can provide medical personnel with a better user experience and more effectively identify aerosols or oral and nasal secretions that are "coming".
At present, the anti fog film has been put into practical application, making a modest contribution to frontline personnel.

Shenwei Technology has technical experts from North Carolina State University, Shanghai Institute of Organic Chemistry, Sun Yat sen University, and has technical cooperation with internationally renowned companies. While engaged in the development of functional coatings in the field of optical films, Yuan Huiya also spares no effort in the education industry. She is a mentor and guidance committee member of multiple universities (member of the Guangdong Undergraduate Experimental Teaching Guidance Committee, part-time master's supervisor at Jinan University, part-time master's supervisor at Guangdong University of Technology, and part-time master's supervisor at Nanchang University of Aeronautics and Astronautics), contributing more new forces to the UV curing field and enjoying a high reputation in the research and development of functional coatings and their upstream and downstream industries.
